Unitraf celebrated its 60th anniversary
Unitraf celebrated its 60th anniversary on 7 October 2022. The company was founded in 1962 as Tsonyo Lavchiev Low-Current Transformer Factory with the mission to manufacture reliable transformers meeting the needs of each customer. In 1991, it was registered as Unitraf AD. In 2008, it enhanced its portfolio by adding a new segment—machine component and machined part manufacturing—in which it invested a lot of effort to ensure its contribution to the company’s growth.
All these years Unitraf has remained true to its founding principles regardless of all external economic factors and all the political and social turbulence. Unitraf’s long journey since its revival to this day has been one of building, perfecting and constant technological and professional development.
Over the years, Unitraf has manufactured transformers for the Sofia Metro and the Bulgarian Railways (BDZ). With its machining business, the company is a partner to large manufacturers such as M+S Hydraulic Kazanlak, HES Yambol, Palfinger, Flender, and many other Bulgarian and international businesses.
